Returned from Larnaca last Wednesday... The flight outbound was completely full and on return there were 2 seats empty. Considering Cyprus is now in the Eurozone and it is still more expensive than even the UK i find it hard to believe that TFS and the like are now not seen as viable.
If it is true that Jet2 are to base at NWI then i would suggest that HUY management have shot themselves in the foot and that, in a way, they deserve to lose pax to DSA. Much as it annoys me to say it.

h4u booking engine shows weekly Dalaman flights starting 20th May next year - i.e. nearly a full season as opposed to peak season only this year. However there is no announcement that Summer 2010 is on sale on their website so I wonder if it is some kind of default schedule. However if true it would mean a 2nd full season DLM flight, which I think we need, and a tiny bit of good news

h4u website showing Onur Air as operating the flights. Was meant to be them originally this year and then changed to Pegasus a few months ago. Last departure 7th October (starts 20th May as mentioned earlier). In total operates about two months longer
Goldtrail - got some start/end dates from the online booking engine: Bodrum start date 20th July, last departure 19th October (ends late September this year so a slight increase of about three flights) Dalaman starts 6th July, last departure 19th October (starts mid-July and ends late September this year so an increase of about a month)
So some good news from the Turkish independents; the equivalent of a weekly flight for three/four months has been added. This will partially mitigate the loss of the full season Tuesday Palma flight

We might have a 3rd Larnaca flight. Airport website shows a new late Saturday evening Eurocyrpia flight for Libra and it's associated brands. Checking the Libra and Thomas Cook websites this does seem to be in addition to the current Saturday morning ECA operated service for Thomas Cook
Only thing which makes me slightly suspicious is the identical flight times to the Wednesday service
If we have got a 3rd flight, that would mean Summer 2010 sees an increase in flights, albeit marginal, compared to summer 2009.

Looking at the timetable on the Airport Site for Summer 2010, shows 3 flights to Larnaca, but only the Monday flight to Dalaman and the Friday flight to Crete, and no Bodrum. i have checked the operators and all are available except the Saturday Larnaca, Libra shows Wed. only.

Hope to book my seat on the wednesday flight soon! To be honest a late saturday flight wouldnt be very good except for second home owners, you would miss the weekend nightlife if going to Ayia Napa!!!
The routes are still going strong (whats left of them that is) and i would hope Easyjet dont make too much of an impact on future expansion of this sector... How knows, perhas TOM might have a paddy and start offering a little bit more from here.
