Good news about Barcelona, however Venice will definitely end in October as it was said by Easyjet on their social media in response to questions about it. Maybe Venice will be just a summer only route as it is being advertised by Newmarket Holidays for S17.

easyJet have announced a SEN-LPA (Gran Canaria) route running from 6th November 2016 until 22nd March 2017. Flights will operate on Sundays and Wednesdays, these being in addition to the twice-weekly ACE and TFS routes currently on sale for the winter period.

Bearing in mind what has been quoted previously on this thread I wonder whether there is any scope for Venice to become a seasonal route. With this addition ending late March this will either be the case or there should be further route/frequency announcements for summer17.

Well Stobarts had another meeting today in which they announced that SEN were in "advanced talks" with a number of airlines and they still seemed confident of growth.

The early summer 2017 easyJet timetable will be released next Thursday, 6th October. There has been considerable speculation that a 4th aircraft will be based at SEN next year.

Would be great news if true. Perhaps a reaction to the new Jet2 base at STN which competes on several EZY routes at both SEN & STN?

I have been told from two SEN employees (not Stobart)that EZY will be basing a 4th aircraft next Summer, also read from someone esle on a SEN facebook group who has worked at SEN for the past 30years the same thing. That person also states that Cityjet will base 2 Avros and 2 Sukhoi"s as well. We will know on Thursday if EZY info is true but dont know when the long awaited Cityjet/Stobart announcement will come, bit dubious about Cityjet basing 4 jets here but would be great if true. Sorry for the thread drift.

At the moment it looks much the same next year as this:
Alicante 9/week (2 on Wed/Sat) Amsterdam 2/day (1 on Sat) - this is down from 3 per day on Mon/Thurs/Fri & 2 /day on Sat in April. Barcelona 4/week Faro 10/week (2 on Tues/Thurs & Sat) Geneva - no summer again. Gran Canaria ends season 22 March Ibiza 3/week Jersey 4/week (2 on Sat) Lanzarote and Lyon until 24 Apr & 22 Apr Malaga daily Paris 4/week (still late in day timings) Palma daily Tenerife until 25 Apr No Venice.
However the reduction on the AMS route might possibly indicate that a larger aircraft might be being used to maintain capacity? Coupled with the seasonal end of the Lanzarote. Lyon & Tenerife in late April, maybe there is scope for a new route or two (yet to be announced) from beginning of May?

It appears that PMI will be flown by a PMI-based aircraft on five days a week starting April 1. Arr SEN 1920, Dep.1955.
The other two PMI flights (SEN-originating} start at the end of April, morning departures on Tues and Sat.

Good spot! I had missed that - even more potential for a new route then we must hope.

A lot of people have noticed that no new routes have been added yet (across the whole EZY network) so guess it's a case of wait and see.
