A second easyJet aircraft (G-EZFT) is shown as operating the SEN-BFS tonight. It must have been an "interesting" day for the company's schedulers.......

Some good has come out of the French ATC strike today for Southend Easyjet are flying in a plane load of stranded Barcelona passengers from yesterdays Gatwick flight as there is no slot available at Gatwick today, so we have two Barcelona flights in this afternoon.

So SEN and EZY's luck did change. Excellent, and well deserved. Hopefully there will be many diversions on future occasions when fog, strikes etc. hit other London airports.
(It's nice to be able to say "other" London airports!)

Today's Echo states that easyJet have carried 10,500 pax since flights began on 2nd April. Load factors are averaging 80 per cent with some flights in excess of 90 percent. Additional winter destinations to be announced shortly. Further summer schedules commence on 2nd May with the arrival of the third based A319.

I take it that is departures only? Other wise that 80% is out by a long way!

VCE will operate MWFSu
Looking ahead to Summer 2013, will be interesting to see if EZY try and fit VCE into the 3 aircraft operation, or if they opt for a 4th based aircraft

On a day like today when it's pouring with rain, why do easyJet use stand 6 which has no covered walkway leading to it? Surely stands 7 or 8 would be more user-friendly.

The third SEN based A319 went into service this morning, although it didn't get off to a very good start with its departure to AMS being about 80 minutes late.

Just a note to say that the Faro flight now departs at 0630L & arrives back at 1240L which as far as the inbound flights are concerned is better for trains to London etc.

Not so good for the outbounds though - and no airport hotel to overnight in yet.
