It was revealed the other week that SY's dedicated helicopter had, in fact, been out of service for 3 months and the County had been using adjoining areas machines anyway!

G-HPOL MD900. (Police 19). departed 16:18 / arrived back 17:56 today 29.08.16. That was the last official police flight from Humberside airport, aircraft believe to be departing to Gloucester tomorrow.

I for one will miss it. It was the most quiet helo out of huy. Maybe it will be back in future. We don't want anymore services to be transferred from huy. Already too many offshore flights operating out of Norwich compared with here when you look on fr24.

Yes that crossed my mind as well, it would certainly be more convenient than being towed backwards and forwards to CHC hangar 1.
