Reported on the HUY wikipedia page, and backed up by Icelandair's timetable - no cargo flights currently scheduled. The wikipedia page does say they are due to resume in September
Anyone know why. The perishables hub becomes even more of a white elephant

I heard from one of the terminal staff that it is to do with a shortage of fish stocks and would be re-assessed in Sept/Oct.With Sainsbury's opening a new fish factory in Grimsby later this year, maybe they will look to importing Icelandic/Norwegian fish in the future. As for the perishable hub, well, one could store quite a few white elephants within it!!

A shame but no real surprise considering cutbacks such as tge closure of Hulls fish market (a main customer) recently. Hopefully Sainsbury's investment may generate demand for some flights to return.

Found ICE776 from Keflavik loaded in flight aware for tomorrow. Mistake, or has the flight restarted? HUY isn't even a option anymore on the Icelandair Cargo timetable uk.flightaware.com/live/flight/ICE776

The Wikipedia entry for Humberside Airport, under cargo says 'Icelandair Cargo operate a weekly Sunday flight from Keflavic which then departs to Liege. Although previously cancelled, it has now restarted.' This entry is cross-referenced to the Icelandair flight schedule, which does not inspire confidence due to the above-mentioned lack of any mention of HUY. At least it means that the Wikipedia page has been updated since September 2012.
