Centrica and GDF Suez are to develop a new North Sea gas field, which the PR people say will create up to 4,000 jobs. The field is to be known as Cygnus and is said to be ' about 100 miles off the North Norfolk coast '. This implies that it is north of Norfolk, possibly about on the same latitude as Scarborough. Is this likely to create further helicopter traffic and revenue for HUY ?

Assuming it is towards Scarborough then it certainly will, however if it is closer to Norfolk then surely the traffic will go to North Denes?

I would assume that "...100 miles off the North Norfolk coast" would mean easterly or north easterly from this point or else it would be easier,& more sensible (geographically) to say ".......off the East coast of Yorkshire" Maybe HUY might get some overspill work if it is NE?

The map is useful and shows that North Denes is slightly closer. There is not much in it, so we will hope for the best !

There is a return flight today to Ensco101. This is a drilling jack-up rig which is currently moored at 54.56944 degrees / 2.29208 degrees. The location is described as Cygnus A.
