Bin Air's AOC has been suspended by the LBA. The effective date appears to have been October 29, but I believe Bin Air had already stopped flying a week before that. I don't think the October 22 SEN-Kassel flight operated and when I searched a couple of days later I could not find any evidence on FR24 or the other providers of activity by the Bin Air fleet anywhere.
The SEN flights had been operated in conjunction with Time Definite Express Ltd. There is no indication of any changes or problems on that company's website.
Is D-CSAL still parked up at SEN having last flown on Oct 19 ?

Yes, the BinAir is still parked up at SEN, apparently subject to some paperwork.

Time to revive this thread I think.
According to a post on PPRuNe cargo flights will commence on 6th October 2019 for one of the main express parcels companies and a Press Release will be issued shortly. Amazon has been named by various sources recently and the old Inflite hangar is in the process of being modified to cater for these flights. It has been suggested over the past couple of weeks that B737-400 freighters will be employed, probably operated by ASL, and two nightly rotations can be expected. Hopefully the details will become a little clearer very soon.

Assuming all confirmed, another high profile addition for Southend, and a further diversification of the SEN airline portfolio, which I'd regard as a positive

I would certainly agree this is a major positive for SEN. A side benefit is that it puts back into productive use a section of the airport that has been long underutilised. Together with the new replacement Air Livery hangar the Northern maintenance area may start to have a less dilapitated and abandoned appearance. Could this lead to further redevelopment of the area and the possibility of new tenants ?
Only time will tell. And it will be interesting meanwhile to see how they operate the new facility. There will surely need to be some airport development, taxiway lighting on Taxiway Delta for a start. Will they need to tow 737s in and out to/from Holding Point Delta ? Bearing in mind that the maintenance area is outside the declared manouvering area, and included in the AIP is the Hotspot with its warning of uncontrolled vehicle traffic.

I heard that yes, the B734's will have to be towed onto the apron from where they stop on the taxiway D some way beyong the holding point. I think its more to keep them away from their own lorry traffic, and to ensure the aircraft is positioned optimally for unloading/loading operations than anything else.
Just as well the footpath and crossing was diverted several years ago now, as it would not be considered (DFT/CAA) secure with that still in place.
Whilst one or two of the 4 nightly cargo movements shouldn't be taken out of the night quota, the rest will be, and this will mean that less (non-diverted) biz-jets can be accepted on a nightly basis; I guess it won't really materialise as a problem until next summer season now.
So whilst it is good news - especially for jobs, this should also perhaps be countered by the loss of some opportunities to grow the lucrative Jet Centre/Biz-jet side of the business at night, many of which have of course been coming to SEN due to the night-time slot problems at LUT & STN. Often these displaced biz-jet movements will operate one of the legs during the daytime quotas, where capacity is plenty with numbers not yet nearing 'full-up' by some way.
I was surprised at the height of the new Air Livery hangar, it seems much, much taller than the old one (would it be able to take larger than B757 types I wonder?), and coupled with the Inflite upgrade to that hangar entrance, makes the area look much more like doing business. Hopefully, as Tagron says, it will entice some other choice tenants to make plans for the remaining sites northside.

The published design specification for the new Air Livery hangar was for to accommodate the A321.
The B757 is bigger in every dimension than the A321. When I looked at the plans last year, it seemed that nominally there was room for the greater wingspan of the 757 given that the external dimension was 45m compared with 38.05 span of the 757 though it was not clear to me whether that would translate into adequate clear room given internal structure, doors etc. I suspect it is unlikely anything larger than a 757 will fit - certainly not the B767-200 with a span of 48m.

I think it's going ahead all right, starting on either the 6th or 7th October (not certain which). It's not something that SEN would feel they need to announce as there is no marketing involved as there would be for new passenger flights for example. They probably feel that the least is said the better in fact.

Just back from taking a look at the new cargo facility or more accurately what was visible from outside the site.
Most noticeable is that the Inflite signage on the hangar has been taken down and replaced by "Stobart Aviation Services SENA" at each end. It was Stobart Aviation Services carrying out the recruiting last month.
There was a fair amount of Stobart liveried equipment around the place including one of Stobart's articulated heavy lorries. On the ramp were rows of ULDs which looked new.
The grass area between the hangar access taxiway and the main taxiway has been concreted over to form a continuous ramp on the NW side i.e. opposite the opening hangar doors. I could not see what if anything has been done on the SW side.
Inflite still seem to be present too. The whole area seemed quite congested with much ongoing activity. I felt it all looked unlikely to be finished by October 6 or 7. Perhaps this is why they are having to use the North Apron and perhaps it is a temporary measure awaiting completion of the permanent facility?
