That really is some excellent news, not just for JOTA, but also for the airport.

It certainly is great news, things seem to be looking good for the airport at last after a couple of rather stagnant years, especially with the Cityjet ops starting next April and now this JOTA expansion, exciting times indeed.

Nice to see JOTA Aviation now have their own dedicated web-site: JOTA

It now seems confirmed that JOTA will take delivery of a Avro RJ100 before the end of April and it looks likely it will be used to start some of the new Stobart routes in May.

Yes, that's good news for JOTA. Interesting that it is an RJ-100, as they are I heard shortly to be (or may have already been) banned from LCY, so presumably cannot be used even for ad-hoc flights there. It makes sense that this aircraft becomes dedicated (at least in the short-term) to the new STK SEN flights.

Does anyone know when G-JOTS is expected to arrive at SEN?

Good to see G-JOTS flying around on its delivery flight today. It is now to Air Livery (nice to see this one being done at SEN ) before entry into service later this month...

The expansion at Jota is pretty impressive, and long may it continue.

Earlier this year there were stories doing the rounds that G-SMLA was due to be returned to the lessor. The Airliner World article on Jota said they were urgently looking for RJs to replace the 146, but later the same article said they might keep G-SMLA longer. So it looks like the latter version is prevailing.
There seems to have been no movement on the 146QTs. I did read a BAe report a few months ago that there were only 15 146QTs active worldwide. Maybe availability is an issue.
mikkie 4, just seen your post, City Jet RJ85s are not being banned from LCY. Its the RJ100 that is affected. On the subject of LCY the BACF work has dried up completely (for now at least) and City Jet likewise as their LCY ops are running down. Jota's principal work recently has been in France for Hop plus of course the Stobart work

Maybe JOTA will pick up part of the Powdair contract if that becomes a reality.

The first BAe146-300QT for Jota arrived at SEN yesterday. According to Skyliner.de the registration G-JOTE has been allocated to it and a second aircraft is due in Q2 2018. And runwayman (who is a good source on pprune) reckons there will be four in total.
Part of the background is that ASL Airlines Spain are running down their 146 operation and progressively withdrawing all eight aircraft then closing the airline. The plan is to build up ASL Ireland with 737-400Fs. They say the 146 lacks the capacity/range requirements they need for the future.
