Skywork are flying to Bern from SEN this winter: "The new timetable includes an airport change. Bern Airport will be connected twice a day with London’s "sixth airport", customer friendly London Southend Airport. The aircraft departs from Bern at 6.45 am local time. The evening flight from London to Bern leaves at 8.00 pm local time. London Southend Airport offers at peak eight train connections per hour to the city center." www.flyskywork.com/en/company/press/press-releases/winter-schedule-2015

Excellent news! 2x daily from 26th October. I wonder whether they will use the dornier 328 or Dash 8? Yet another route priced out of LCY and heading for SEN.

Great news, lets hope there will soon be a few more foreign airlines following Skywork into SEN.

Does anyone know why both the Bern flights are listed as cancelled today (Wed 29th)?

Today's flights have not been bookable for the past couple of weeks so the cancellations were planned well in advance. I've no idea why this was done.

This morning's Berne still being de-iced at Berne, running 3 hours late - anyone know why, perhaps a shortage of aircraft? Like the Berne web-cam

I notice that the Berne has now become once a day, except for Fridays and Mondays which remains at two. Makes sense I guess, although could be conceding that it is as much of a tourist route as a business route. CAA figures: December 842 January 724 February 940
