At least two BA Cityflyer E170s diverted into SEN last evening due to crosswinds at LCY.

There was a repeat performance last evening as well, with the ABZ and AMS BA Cityflyer E170s diverting to SEN from LCY.

Why don't they just do the sensible thing and operate from Southend in the first place? :-)

A Cityjet F50 inbound to LCY from RTM diverted into SEN about 40 minutes ago. It appears to some sort of tech problem as the emergency services were mobilised apparently but the aircraft seems to have parked on a terminal stand as normal.

A BA Cityflyer E190 operating an EDI-LCY flight has just diverted into SEN due to turbulence at LCY. Nice to see that SEN seems still to be first choice in this situation.

The BA Cityflyer Saab 2000 IOM-LCY flight has diverted to SEN this morning. Presumably due to snow at LCY.

Could be due to crosswinds at LCY perhaps.

According to the Depatures/Arrivals board there appear to have been two BACF reroutes into SEN yesterday evening, presumably a result of slot delays from the French ATC strike causing difficulties with the LCY curfew. The Madrid service actually arrived before the 2200 deadline but was shown as departing SEN 2300 returning to MAD. The Barcelona service should have arrived SEN at 2225 then presumably would have nightstopped.
EZY suffered from the strike over the past two days with several SEN services cancelled.

Sunday's evening BA PMI-LCY E190 missed the night curfew and diverted into SEN at about 22:45 that evening. Then last night the Saab 2000 operating their DUS-LCY evening service couldn't fly the steep LCY appraoch for tech reasons so diverted into SEN and operated DUS-SEN-DUS and this morning is also operating DUS-SEN-DUS. A good couple of days for SEN but not so good if you're a BA passenger.

I think SEN has been rather overwhelmed by LCY diversions this morning.
Fog descended very rapidly at peak time so everything wanted to divert at once with some 10 BA and Cityjet arrivals within quite a short time. SEN was also on low vis ops so it must have been rather hectic for a time.
