The acquisition of FlyBe by Connect Airways is now confirmed: FlyBe
No mention of Southend Airport whatsoever though, but I'll be an optimist and start a thread for Connect in the SEN forum.

At least Connect can now get on with planning their network for Summer 2020.
There must be a possibility of SEN-MAN returning to provide feed for the Virgin routes from there, with one of their stated aims being to provide regional connectivity to their routes from LHR and MAN. On the other hand the existing SEN routes, CFR, GRQ, NQY and RNS, look less secure and it will probably depend how valuable Stobart think these are to their SEN plans. Stobart will obviously have a fair bit of influence on Connect's decision making in respect of how much of the overall Flybe network is retained.

Interesting to see that FlyBe only granted just over 50% of slots requested at LHR for W19: ACL
