The Eastern Airways timetable now shows that there will be a gap in the service after the rotation on Monday 17th July. The next departure will be on Monday 11th September.
Edit The rotation on Thursday 13th July was cancelled.

Disappointing - can't be coincidence that it is pretty much the school holiday dates. Lower demand I can only assume.

Compound this with the overall reduction in travel for business purposes since covid and video call facilities and this would explain the decision. Hopefully it will return as planned in September, however with eastern be prepared for anything!! The route performance hasn’t exactly set the world on fire.

Not really a surprise, averaging less than 10 passengers per flight is not going to be sustainable. Shame really, as the offshore energy industry has synergies with Denmark and Scandinavia but KLM probably offer the flexibility to compete far better than a direct flight to a small market 3 x weekly. Shame SAS weren’t supported when they started the CPH route, but we have I feel fortunate for having such a good service by KLM that other routes simply aren’t needed. Focus on passenger flight must be placed upon leisure destinations that have for years been way under-served, and ensuring KLM are happy.

Yes, Klm have really good connections to meet most business needs. It is the leisure offering- mainly sun routes - that needs urgent attention. The demand is evidenced by loads on the Palma and Bourgas flights. Apologies everyone; I know its all been said before.

Something will have to change, can’t imagine KLM are too happy with such an increase in charges. Perhaps the ground handler are trying to assert some influence in over the way the airport are approaching passenger traffic?
