With the RYR situation this winter, a real shame that EZY are not still doing Edinburgh from Southend. They are offering 5 a day from STN this winter, only 4 a day at present, so have they already increased this to try and take advantage?

With the sad demise of Monarch and with lots of new slots now available at LGW and LTN, does anyone think that this will have any adverse effect on the possible SEN based 4th EZY for Summer 2018. I wonder when Easyjet will start announcing their new routes for the whole of their network for next Summer, shouldnt be to long now i would think.

SEN have just posted on their f/bk page that "easyJet have announced that it will base a fourth A320(sic) at the airport from 25th July 2018 ....". Presumably increases in frequency will result on some existing routes but a few new route announcements should also follow before too long I should think.

So the fourth aircraft only arrives late in the season. Does it stay for the winter or is it just a three month peak season deployment? It would surely need new routes that are sustainable year round to justify keeping it at SEN through the winter. On past performance how likely is that ?
Unless there plans for use of aircraft from other bases, the period from April to end July 2018 looks likely to show a reduction in EZY passenger numbers due to the loss of the PMI based rotations. Or unless there are to be more A320s ?
On a more positive note (for SEN} bookings on the existing routes look very strong in the wake of the Monarch collapse, with many flights shown as "Sold Out" well in advance.

Have the Prague and Bordeaux routes been announced as year round ? - I am not finding any such reference published anywhere. So far they are on sale to the usual end of the Summer scheduling period, i.e. end of October. Bordeaux drops to 2 flights/week in mid September
The EZY Dubrovnik route only runs until September 1, so 11 flights in total
