As I've posted before I understand that PMI and ALC sales are good enough for next year's plans to be well underway. I believe that there is a secondary aim to the continued heavy selling and that is to keep promoting the airport and to keep raising its holiday routes profile in the region.

Interesting that the Airport Arrival/Departure board is showing an arrival/departure for Enontekio in the morning. The same time as I believe the Tunisia flights are due? Also on sunday last they showed a destination as Burgas? ?

Pleasing to see that the Dalaman and Enfidha flights are starting on the due dates. Bourgas/Burgas seem to be alternative spellings, but the Bourgas spelling is usually used for the airport.

If the Bourgas flight continues to be shared with Cardiff, the capacity will be cut from 6,840 to 3,420 (assuming a 50/50 split). This would reduce the total charter capacity increase year on year to 8.3%. The figures are as follows.
2012 Charter capacity Bourgas 6,840 Dalaman 7,182 Heraklion 6,480 Palma 5,040 Total 25,542
2013 Capacity Bourgas 3,420 Dalaman 5,760 Palma 4,680 Thomas Cook Palma 4,250 Tuesdays Alicante 4,250 Enfidha 5,310 (only 177 seats on A320) Total 27,670

The 2013 figures have been revised upwards because there will be incoming Thomas Cook flights on 28th June and 30th June (during the void period). This meant that three rotations had been missed.
2013 Charter capacity
Bourgas 3,420 Palma 5,040 (Thomas Cook) Palma 4,250 (Tuesdays) Alicante 4,250 Dalaman 6,120 Enfidha 5,664 Total 28,744
This produces an increase of 12.5% compared with 2012.

Full capacity on the Bourgas flight has been restored today, as it is no longer shared with Cardiff. If this continues until the end of the season, total Bourgas capacity will be 6,480. This would take total weekly charter capacity for 2013 to 31,804, which would be a 24.5% increase over 2012.

It looks as though there will be more capacity from Thomas Cook than was predicted. Palma, Dalaman and Enfidha were all due to have an outgoing gap on 21st and 23rd June for the Scottish school holidays. So far this gap has not occurred and there have been outgoing flights to Dalaman and Enfidha this week. Today there is an outgoing flight to Palma.
