www.corporatejetinvestor.com/articles/london-best-business-aviation-airport-601 To judge from the above article, this publication is completely unaware of SEN’s hopeful status as a London area business airport. Expressflight’s comments about earlier lack of marketing springs to mind. On a more positive note, Jota Aviation appear to be expanding with new larger King Airs and a third party leasing & AOC deal www.jotagroup.com/jotaaviationnews.php

I see that Landmark Aviation have made a major purchase of FBO facilities in the UK at Luton, Manchester and Prestwick. I guess they decided that SEN just did not have the right potential for them and hence they did not extend that rather strange deal that covered the Olympics period.
Airlink Airways, who use the trading name of Private Sky, describe themselves as Ireland's premier executive jet hire operator. Their website continues to show SEN as their London base, their other bases being Shannon and Moscow Vnukovo. But I can find no other reference to them at SEN - has anyone else heard of them? It appears that the Learjet being advertised by Jota is one of theirs so perhaps it is some kind of collaborative or agency deal.
Turning to something more tangible, I note that London Executive Aviation are now listed on the airport website as a company based at SEN. The contact details are of their main HQ at Stapleford not of SEN so perhaps there has been no real change and they continue to base one or two Citations at SEN (as I understand it) bringing in alternative equipment as required.

I see that another web-site is on the go for the handling side, presumably since May when the last 'news' item was posted: Stobart Executive Handling

I guess this explains the flurry of works around the old terminal recently: link

Presumably this means the rest of the old terminal not already taken up by the Exec Jet Centre will be utilised ? Is it being expanded externally in any way ?
I must admit to slight surprise at this news - I would not have guessed after all the publicity at EBACE last May that the opening of the new facility was still six months in the future.
So Stobart are doing it themselves again -are they unable to find one of the major internationally known operators to take it on ? It seems they are spending £1 million on top of the £500k on the original conversion. One can certainly applaud their conviction and hope that it pays off.

New FBO Opens at London Southend Airport (AIN Online)
by Ian Sheppard- January 10, 2018, 2:04 AM London Southend Airport now has a new FBO, run by Stobart, a trucking/transport company that also owns the airport. The official opening of the Stobart Jet Centre will take place on January 18, although visiting business aircraft have been able to make use of the facilities since January 1. AIN visited the FBO in late December as Stobart was putting the finishing touches on the facility. Stephen Grimes, the managing director of Stobart Jet Centre, said, "We're expecting an exciting year, with Luton full and Northolt [temporarily] closing." He added that despite it having a very small proportion of London's business jet traffic at present, Southend is one of only three London-area airports to operate 24/7 (the others are Stansted and Luton, which have significant low-cost carrier and other airline traffic). Southend has some airline traffic—for example, easyJet and Stobart's own Aer Arann services—but is comparatively quiet. In 2016, Southend saw 900 business aircraft movements, but Grimes expects this to climb to at least 2,000 this year and reach 10,000 annually by 2022. He said it costs £1,000 ($1,354) to park a BBJ at Southend for 24 hours, compared with £7200 ($9,751) at Luton. Grimes is also making an arrangement with London City Airport to provide temporary parking for visiting aircraft to that airport, which has extremely limited parking space. The airport, which is 42 minutes by train from London's West End and even less into Liverpool Street Station in the city, has 12 stands that can accommodate bizliners and also a hangar that can house four more. Visitors can also take a helicopter to London Battersea Heliport via locally based Apollo Helicopters, which operates seven helicopters. A 127-room Holiday Inn adjacent to the FBO provides four-star accommodations for visitors, with another hotel being planned to boost on-site capacity.

I'm not sure if this is the place for this but LTN will this year have the same restrictions it had in 2018; no non-scheduled movements permitted between 2200GMT and 0559GMT during the period 1 June to 30 September 2019. This should produce a fair amount of additional traffic for SEN. I don't know if the STN restrictions of last summer will be in force this year.

Cape Town to SEN in a Global Express - nice one!
I see Northolt closed, so I guess the much delayed resurfacing has/will be started - only NOTAMned to 18th April at the moment, and Mil aircraft can still with PPR.
Do Luton and Stansted have similar overnight restrictions to last year, for biz-jets this summer?

A goodly crop of biz-jet movements last night, I made it 17 aircraft, and then topped off with an AN-26 this morning.
