Flybe. (BE, Exeter International (EXT)) has published plans to extend one of its three daily services between Manchester Ringway International (MAN) and Norwich (NWI) onward to Den Helder De Kooy (DHR) in the Netherlands from April 2, 2013. The service to be operated by its partner Suckling Airways (CB, Cambridge (CBG)) with Do328-100s will be the first scheduled service for the airport that like Norwich is important for the offshore oil and gas industry.

Less than two weeks after the first flight from Den Helder to Norwich, is scheduled again lifted. There were too few passengers, and therefore, the British carrier Flybe destination Den Helder to delete. Friday left the last flight to Norwich, with six passengers on board. .
For Conny van den Hoff, director of Den Helder Airport, the decision came "like a bolt from the blue." She thinks it's too early. "The launch of a new line of flight has a lead time. The bookings are just beginning to get going. " Flybe had at least fifteen passengers per flight to break even. The last two weeks there were on average between two and six, according to Van den Hoff. Alderman Kees Visser (VVD) from Den Helder is mainly based on 'commercial terms' surprised at the rapid lifting of the scheduled flight. Visser: "The tourist season and the season of the maintenance platforms have yet to begin." Den Helder Airport will retry a scheduled flight to boot. The idea is to connect to the Scottish Aberdeen. This city is like Daman an important starting point for drilling platforms on the coast, and provides opportunities for work.
