Ref Jetxtra. Looks like a new entity is being developed - Jetxtra Holidays. A Facebook page has just been set up in this name and a new company was registered early September. An on-line Jetxtra holiday booking facility was promised for 2015 so maybe it will soon appear.

The latest brochures from Thomas Cook have no mention at all about Humberside so this seems to confirm, as expected, no return for summer 2015 at least. (Hope I'm wrong and a surprise comes from left field.)
Interesting to see Belleair Holidays (Malta specialists) appear on the list of HAT "travel partners" attending their January Holiday Show. Maybe they just want to exhibit and sell departures from LBA and EMA airports but it would be nice to think that we might see some flights to Malta. It would be in keeping with HUY's strategy to get what they can from the smaller guys in the absence of a meaningful presence from the big operators.
Thomas Cook also appear as "partners" attending but this now seems it's about flogging their holidays from elsewhere!
Thomson still loading for the rest of summer 2015 and winter 2015/16. If anything was in prospect I feel that by now the airport would have tweeted a hint - that's if they know anything and with Thomson they might not!

Great shame that TCX have ended their Humberside programme. What is also surprising is that Leeds Bradford is also missing from the latest brochures (They were due to take seat allocations with Monarch/Jet2). I do wonder if Thomas Cook does not carry the weight it once did in this area? Either way, still a big blow for Humberside.
Slightly more hopeful is that by the looks of the Balkan Holidays website, Bougras might be going back to a dedicated weekly flight. On all the dates I have tried, it is showing as: BOUGRAS 06:50 - HUMBERSIDE 08:10 / 09:10 - BOUGRAS 14:10 (Flight 3h20 out, 3h00 back) Leeds, who shared our flight on all but the Summer peak weeks, is showing a 06:45 departure from Bougras, landing/departing LBA at 08:15 / 09:15, arriving Bougras at 14:40. Clearly these times do not fit with a shared flight, although it would be easy to merge these flights if the demand is lower than planned.

I'm told that Thomson's updated offerings for summer 2015 and the first issue of winter 2015/6 should be available from 18th December - later than planned. Sounds about right as they usually start their TV campaign immediately after Christmas (or just before) so I'm sure they'll try to put everything in place by then.

I wouldn't expect too much from them, given that they've just agreed a new long term deal with DSA..

The JetxtraUK/Worldchoiceair website situation continues to confuse me. I'm interested enough to try to make some sense of it and buy a ticket but others could well be less motivated. Imagine, a repeat customer from last year goes back to the Jetxtra website, Facebook or Twitter account they used last year. They will find live, but completely out-date, sites showing no recent activity and no flights for 2015. There's no cross-reference to the new site or introduction to the new name. I understand they might be working on their new site and changing their business model but, they really should close down the one that's out-of-date or, better still, cross reference it to the new one. An e mail to known clients taking them to the new website would also help.
This is the start of the peak sales period and not having the "shop window" (websites, Facebook etc) ship shape, easy to use and working well could mean sales will be missed!

In my previous post I worked on the basis that Jetxtra.uk.com/Worldchoiceair were simply new trading names for Jetxtra.com. It didn't seem to make sense and indeed, it didn't. There is a formal dispute going on about trademark "Jetxtra." The recently up-dated Jetxtra.com website still talks about flights to be announced even though Jetxtra.uk.com/worldchoiceair have a programme up and running. No co-operation there!!
There is set timetable for the resolution of trademark disputes - this one has been going on since September so it should get a ruling fairly soon.
However, the flights are on sale by Sporting Events Global, which is what really matters to HUY and me for my Malaga trip!

Follow this link to the Intellectual Property Office website and it will tell you the names of those involved. It's a public document. You can also find details of the process - it can take longer than I thought but maybe this will settle in the minimum. As I said, I think the important thing for the airport is that the flights are on offer and being sold. Regards, www.ipo.gov.uk/t-tmj/tm-journals/2014-037/index.html

This is an interesting development, but may not have a pivotal impact on the total level of sales. The reason that the programme of charter flights is on sale is that the prime mover is Humberside Airport / Humberside Airport Travel. They are responsible for formulating the flying programme and chartering the aircraft. They then employ other travel agents to widen the spread of sales (one of which is WorldChoiceAir / Jetxtra).

Has the Malaga Jetxtra.uk.com/worldchoiceair (or whoever) flight been dropped??? Their website is showing all flights to Malaga full (which I doubt) and it has been removed from some parts of the airport website ( destinations.)
Pity if this is so - could be something to do with the on-going tademark dispute. The Jetxta.uk.com website continues to be confusing to say the least. It's a wonder if they manage to sell anything with it! Anybody know what's going on??

Can confirm they are not selling seats to Malaga but I'm told the sold out is true -a block booking whatever that may mean.

Malaga seems to have gone from the airports "destinations" page on its website, which does suggest cancellation rather than fully booked. Fingers crossed the flights still go ahead!
