After having seen what happens when there is 'good news' for HUY over the last few days, may i bring to the fore an argument for guests to be not allowed to post temporarily? If people then feel the need to post they can join the forum and be most welcome. It would then clear the site of trollish behaviour, and could effectively be the makings of a healthy debate.
Im all for the openness of this forum Humberside, but i do believe that people take advantage of it in such circumstances as there is good news. I would hazzard a guess that 'some' of these posters come across from the EGCN forums to antagonize? Im starting to realise why the moderators of that forum delete news about Humberside now.
I know that people who work at the airport come on here for news and rumours, as more often than not they hear things on here first, i dont think it is considerate for people displaying a child-like argument that has done the rounds for nearly a decade, against HUY.
I know i may have said one or two bad things about DSA ('wanting it to close') and i take that back totally, it was an off the cuff remark at a time when everything was stagnant, but there are some genuine issues with DSA that none of the proponents can have a clear argument against.
I didnt want the DSA thread to start in a slanging match but it was quickly becoming that way, i believe elmfield has a good argument and i made my point clear so i appologize for not leaving it earlier.
As for the 'prospective member' i do not believe that, there are plenty of threads with some very good information on this site, i do not think members are put off one thread where a guest is flogging the same dead horse they were in the early 2000's re. Humberside growth, or percieved lack of.
Rant over.
