Really can't make much sense of the plans, so I'm not sure if this is real of not, but apparently viaTriskel have plans to fly SEN-Caen and SEN-Strasbourg, and even plan to offer a Cardiff-Caen-Southend connection viatriskel.com/vt_routes_en.htm

Looks like a enthusiast's "project" to me.

They would need to get CFR on side first but they do not consider it a credible project.

Sounds bonkers, doesn't it? (I mean that in a kind way).
I notice that Southend appears to have been replaced by Manston in the Q+A, but not on the viaTriskel website.

I wouldn't argue with your there devonian! I'm sure that SEN will have assessed this 'airline' in a similar way to CFR and decided they've got better things to do. I can understand MSE clutching at any straw which may result in a route resulting - however unlikely that may be. The whole thing just doesn't make any commercial sense. Take for example their statement that 40 pax per flight at 55 Euros revenue per seat will enable them to break even. So they can break even on an F50 one hour (minimum) sector with total revenue of 2,200 Euros? Seems more like someone's idyllic dream to me than a serious project.
