Well Jetxtra have posted another update on its facebook page this afternoon. It looks like they may now have to change there name as they are saying the CAA wont allow them to trade under the jetxtra brand anymore. www.facebook.com/pages/jetXtracom/293806453974298

I cannot believe they/he is still peddling that as an excuse. The CAA have already denied the name was the reason for their unwillingness to award a licence. Far from the name, it would suggest that the reason they are not operating (and probably never will) is down to their business plan. Lets look at it realistically. There is a reason we are currently not seeing any new startups in the UK, that being the economy. People like Tim Lee have already made the point that any new startup would need significant financial backing from the off. A figure he quoted (specific to Flyforbeans) was £50million. What have jetXtra invested so far? I would suggest very little, just one look at their website will tell you that. Why would the CAA run the risk of granting such an operation relevent licences including ATOL, when the company itself has invested very little into the business and are nothing more than a ticketing agent?

I have just tried a google link to the Jetxtra site and it shows a news page with an entry dated 1st September 2012
It states flights to Majorca are back on sale for 2013.
Flights appear bookable and are weekly to Palma on Friday mornings with a flight code of JQ ?
The website design and appearance is awful. Unless it is changed, no one will trust it enough to pay for flights.

I had hoped these 'new routes' having been alluded to by Paul Litten would not be jetXtra or anything associated with him. What a joke. EDIT; flightcode JQ appears to be Jetstar, I'm clinging onto hope that his website has been hacked ;D Also now saying partner of this lot.. www.iwholidays.co.uk/What happened to CTT Group? Plus ATOL badge has reappeared. Notice their slogan is still 'we are in no way associated with Jet2'? Nothing like giving your established competitor some free advertising! I would be very dissappointed if the Business Development team at HUY have seen the website and continue to support them (if they are).

Looks like the link isn't working now. I perhaps get the feeling we weren't supposed to stumble across this yet...

Well I noticed the airline code being used was JQ as watcher pointed out. That code is of Jetstar, the Australian airline.. Seems like nothing has changed since January.

Enough for a weekly flight to PMI I expect, depends if iwholidays already use some of that allocation.
They can only be taken seriously if they come up with a robust business plan, just one look at their website suggests nothing has been invested at all. Mr Moose came out with an interesting concept on the 'other' section re. Eastern sourcing a couple of aircraft and operating them under the name of jetXtra.. That would be a proper development, no matter how unlikely it may be.

Its strange, it doesnt work from an initial google search, but then try the link on the jetXtra website and it will appear, then go back through google and it appears. Cant be anything new then.
I hope jetXtra change their website, nobody will book on the current one. I certainly wouldn't!
