Alicante and Palma to go on sale next week according to HAT. We know jetXtra were due to announce PMI.. Will be interesting to see whether they intend to do anything differently this time. A change of website would be a start.

Interesting development - I suspect its JetXtra behind it though. I was under the impression that Alacante was kept clear this year in case Ryanair decided to return. If It is JetXtra, and it was me, i would do PMI twice per week, then ALC on a W one day, and Malaga on a W the other day.
I cannot see it being TCX on W's from other bases (though I would like to be prooved wrong). Its too soon for Ryanair - They dont seem to release their summer timetable until much later in the year. Just hope it if it JetXtra that they have done their homework this time around...

Im sure they know what theyre doing, but Im concerned that perhaps energy has been diverted from talking to established operators in favour of jetXtra. I dont think, unless there has been a drastic change we dont yet know of, that jetXtra will ever actually come to fruition. There clearly isnt the maturity behind it, and the CAA certainly dont think it will work..
Hoping ALC is with someone else, however I doubt it.

Globetrotter79 on Pprune points out that Lowcostholidays.com have Humberside flights for 2013 on their booking engine.

This is what was posted on Pprune.
Looks like the kind of schedule Albastar would operate doesn't it..
I wonder if the reason for the schedule being spread out is due to the ATOL restrictions.

Yes, does look like Albastar as they have their HQ at Palma. Interesting the W is to Alicante not Malaga. Good that Lowcostholidays are putting packages together - it would have been hard work selling seats if it was only HAT.
Let's wait and see what transpires over the next few days.

that works out at 5 days, each with 4 flights on a B734 with 170 seats = 3400 seats. If IW holidays are their partner for ATOL purposes, then that is double their limit of 1700 per annum. I would assume that people going on the 28th may do not have to wait in Majorca until 2nd July to fly home though, and if there are 'dead' flights in between Humberside and Palma to allow weekly holidays on those dates, from a base in Majorca, that will surely push up ticket prices significantly. A better choice of dates, would be to book 6 consecutive departures from mid july to september to match the school holidays when the flights are most likely to be full, rather than dates scattered through the season.

Picking any Tuesday at random on the lowcostholidays booking engine will bring up flight availability to it seems it is intended to be a full season.

I can only get it to work with the above dates, but Im sure all will become clear when a proper announcement is made - Just hope it all works out this time, as HUY needs all it can get now for next year!

I have just tried it and if you enter any date from 28th May to September that is a Tuesday it will bring the flight and price.
The flights are a bit dear considering a discount is supposed to be applied.

I just hope they invest a bit into a new website if they are to be taken seriously. Im sure others would agree.
If uptake is sufficient (and they have all the relevant licences in place this time) then I see no reason why it shouldn't operate, however as with all paper airlines I would always be concerned about payment issues between jetXtra and Albastar which could see the premature cessation of all flights.
On the other hand, if it does work (and proves the demand is there) it may allow them to approach investors with a view to operating with their own AOC and aircraft in the future.

to be fair, the website does not need £1000s spending on it - simply changing the background to white, and installing a menu bar instead of the current menu options should make a massive difference, even if just a short term fix until the company is more established and can afford a proffesional web designer - after all, the complex stuff, the booking engine etc are already functioning.

Certainly not, though surely spending at least some money on such things will fill people with more confidence. The website is GCSE level stuff I'm told, and thus people are unlikely to trust the website (and therefore airline) enough to book.

I don't think these flights are anything to do with Jet Xtra.
