Morning, I note that there are unofficial rumours doing the rounds that Bond may have been chosen by Shell to fly crew change flights to their installations in the Central North Sea (CNS), replacing Bristow. Bond recently put in a planning application to expand their facilities on the east side, including a revamped & expanded terminal - taking in the site of the old social club. Might also go some way to explain why an order was put in for S92s, which were supposed to be 'prepped' for N. Sea ops. I think 16 was the order & I don't expect all 16 to make their way here - but I think a few will, especially if it is to service any new contracts. That'll please those in Cordyce!! Meanwhile, I was also reading about the hairsute Donald Trump ('I AM The Evidence!'). His golf course (it's not a complex yet!) is due for opening June/July. Are the airport still expecting/hoping for/banking on an influx of golfing tourists (or businessmen with golf clubs) coming to play the course, be it on schedules or indeed jetting over on private aircraft? Trump can certainly whip up the interest, but we'll see whether 'the greatest golf course in the world' 15mins from ABZ will live up to the considerable hype generated.
