EC225 G-REDW, 14 pax + 2 crew outbound as BND 88R.
Suffered a warning light in the main gearbox (MGB) leading crew to execute a successful controlled ditching.
Press pointing out it's the 3rd helicopter "incident" (& all involving Bond) but all the incidents are different.
Glad all are safe, with no serious injuries. Sounded like a textbook operation by the flight crew.
Happened about 1215pm today.

Attempts ongoing to rescue REDW & bring her ashore for investigation. Assuming she is still on the surface, & depending on how they rescue her, she may even be able to fly again. Over the years some that have landed on the sea after a controlled ditch have flown again, but others have sustained damage during the salvage attempts & are written off. Depends on how they do it. If it's sunk of course, then its flying days are over!
