Very good news for Sumburgh. Thouugh I guess they would like London back too
Loganair is to extend its summer air service between Shetland's Sumburgh Airport and the Norwegian city of Bergen, the airline has announced. Its chairman Scott Grier said the company wanted to build on the success of this summer’s programme when almost 1400 passengers had used the twice weekly service.
Next year’s service will link both destinations three times a week with flights operating each Saturday, Tuesday and Thursday. Mr Grier said the airline was confident that the improved service was what people wanted.
Loganair will fly between Shetland and Bergen from the end of May until end of August 2009. Tickets can be booked through the www.flybe.com reservations system.
