Good news I suppose, but probably well below what SX would want. Be interesting to see if they do operate the winter schedule after 25th October which is yet to go on sale. They claim to be finalising it, although this maybe a lie. Could the route go summer season only? However this would put off a lot of business pax.

I am reading on other forums and facebook that Skywork are looking to resurrect LCY/BSL as there is no sign of the winter schedule yet could mean the death of the SEN service and a resumption of the LCY/BRN route. They originally left LCY statinting cost! this would have not changed as it will still be higher? Were the SEN/BRN flight times in line with the previous LCY programme if not why? If we at SEN are to compete it must be on a level playing field so that like for like can be scrutinized and solutiontions found.

The fact the airport are again offering the 2 months of free rail travel into London for SX customers speaks for itself. One final marketing push between the two to see if that can help attract more pax. If Swiss can't make BSL-LCY work then I find it hard to see SX fairing better.

Not looking good for BRN-SEN route as Skywork have announced a new service from BRN-BSL-LCY to start at the end of August with a leased SAAB 2000. They surely wont continue the BRN-SEN as well, i wouldnt think with this new route to LCY.

I think the wording "The times in the timetable to London Southend will be adjusted later to meet requirememts" actually means the route will be dropped, either at the end of the Summer schedules or sooner. The load factors on the BRN-SEN are very poor.

SkyWork website now showing BRN-SEN bookable up to 25 March 2016.
Operates 5 weekly, then 3 weekly in the week after Christmas until New Year, then goes back up to 5 weekly.
Thought that route was going to be honest, but good to see its continuation.

529 pax from Basle to LCY in July, since it started on 19th July, 6 flights a week. Early days of course, it will be interesting to see how many for the full month of August. CAA statistics do not show how many of these pax originated at Berne airport though.

That looks like a remarkably poor performance on the LCY route when you consider that Swissair carried 6,475 pax on their LCY-BSL route in August 2014.
