Wizz Air has announced a new route from Doncaster Sheffield Airport (its tenth overall) to Lublin, Poland, which coincides with Doncaster Sheffield celebrating its tenth birthday during April.
The three times weekly flights (on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday) from 15 September will be operated with a new Airbus A320 aircraft.
Daniel de Carvalho, spokesman for Wizz Air, announced, “This new route to Lublin further underlines Wizz Air’s commitment to Doncaster Sheffield Airport and the Yorkshire region. We hope that the new route will be an attractive option for people in Yorkshire to access a beautiful city.”
MD of Doncaster Sheffield Airport, Steve Gill, continued, “This is fantastic news and a great way to start our 10th birthday celebrations. We are delighted that Wizz are further expanding their offering to Yorkshire passengers with this new route.”
Doncaster Sheffield Airport is Wizz Air’s second largest UK base. Currently, the airport operates a total of 33 Wizz Air flights per week to eight destinations including Bucharest in Romania, and Gdansk, Warsaw and Wroclaw in Poland.
