Poster on PPRUNE has posted a copy of a press release from the Yorkshire Post web site saying that DSA are to take-on two of the spare Embraer providing 8 routes from March 2016. Looks like the press release has been posted ahead of time. Interesting also that it says all Embraer have been re-homed. At last count there were six looking for homes so it will interesting to see where the remaining 4 are going.

The Flybe offering for the 2016 summer season seems to be as follows :-
Paris CDG 13 per week (early morning - only 1 on Saturdays). Amsterdam 7 per week with a late morning departure. Jersey 7 per week. Berlin Tegel 4 per week (early morning). Malaga 3 per week. Alicante 3 Per week. Newquay 3 per week. Faro 2 per week.
Does anyone know if the Paris service benefits from a code- share agreement with Air France?

Interesting choice of Destinations. Paris I am sure will be popular, particually if they can tap into connecting flights Amsterdam, I think will struggle with the just 1 daily late morning departure (early am would be more attractive I feel), but I think it will appeal more to leisure traffic than business, but time will tell. Daily to Jersey? Very brave! Berlin & Newquay - Never saw that one coming. Untested market, so who knows, but I am sure they have done research! Malaga, Alicante & Faro I am sure will sell with ease.

With the release of the April figures, the first full month of Flybe's E195 operation is now available. Alicante and Malaga are not included as there are also other operators on those routes. The load factors assume that all flights took place.

Edit on 15th May 2017.
Alicante 2,281 (74%). Malaga 2,069 (67%).

What is the overall load factor minus ALC and AGP?
Hopefully those loads will pick up, as they aren't great. Looks like the average loads across the board would be about 60% assuming ALC and AGP are the highest loadings..

The overall load factor on the above-listed routes was 50.01%. If ALC and AGP achieved 70%, the overall load would rise to 53%. If they achieved 90%, the overall load would be 56%. (Capacity for April on ALC and AGP was 3,068 each).

Do we know how this compares to CWL? I'm surprised they've gone Berlin daily during winter, they're either being hugely optimistic or they're receiving some form of subsidy for city destinations..

The unweighted average of the above Cardiff figures is September 2015 59% December 50%. With the lo-co airlines pricing model, does a high load factor imply that the yield will be satisfactory as the seat prices rise? (and vice-versa for a low load factor).

Not sure on their break even load factor, I've heard that it's quite low on the Dash 8, but I would have thought the Jets would be better utilised on higher load and yield Med destinations..
