Germania are opening a new base in Palma, including new scheduled routes to Holland and France. While Maastricht and Strasbourg are close to the German border, Montpellier is not. I wonder if they would consider Palma-UK scheduled routes in the future?

Summer 2017: Germania opens base in Palma, Mallorca
- 65 flights per week from Germany and Switzerland - New European connections to France and the Netherlands - Boeing 737-700 stationed at Palma Airport
In summer 2017, Germania Fluggesellschaft is opening a base in Palma, Mallorca, where it will permanently station a Boeing 737-700 at the wellknown Son Sant Juan Airport. The airline, with its distinctive green and white livery, is expanding its flight schedule and is adding more connections to the Spanish island to its programme. With this new move, Germania is also for the first time connecting European neighbours, as well as several German towns, to Palma, Mallorca. Tickets can be booked from 49 Euros, snacks, soft drinks, magazines and a minimum of 20 kg free baggage are inclusive.
From May, Germania will be offering at least one daily flight from five German cities to this sunny destination, including Friedrichshafen, Münster/Osnabrück, Dresden, Bremen and now also Nuremberg. Its Swiss affiliated company, Germania Flug AG, will also be introducing a daily service from Zurich. There will be several weekly flights to the Spanish island from Erfurt-Weimar, Rostock-Laage and also Dortmund. With a steady five percent increase in flights compared to the past summer season, Germania is establishing itself as a trusted partner for holiday makers to Mallorca.
In addition, Germania will also introduce new European routes from Palma, Mallorca. For the first time, there will be flights to Maastricht in the Netherlands, providing services for passengers based in the area between Belgium, Holland and Germany. Germania is also developing its links with France and is adding two weekly flights to Montpellier and Strasbourg. Neither city has so far had any direct connections to Palma, Mallorca.
“Economic considerations have encouraged us to offer a network which clearly links to our European neighbours,” said Karsten Balke, Germania’s CEO, on Wednesday to highlight the launch of the new routes to Mallorca. “Germania is proving its credentials as a truly European airline.”
