Some 60 out of 80 jobs to go at Dyce-based Heli-One due to the expected oil industry downturn thanks to the world recession cutting demand for oil.
The maintenance facility is owned by CHC, & also rumours that CHC themselves are cutting back, mainly engineers & contract pilots.
CHC Scotia recently lost a contract for CNR (Tiffany field) to rivals Bristow.
Rumours are that Heli-One will close at ABZ eventually & all maintenance/engineering carried out in Norway.
