The launch of charter flights from Oxford Airport to Jersey has proved a soar away success, with only two seats left on the first flight. More than 60% of tickets on the charter service – the first between Oxford to the Channel island for 19 years – have been sold before the first plane has left the ground.
From July 11, holidaymakers will be able to board an Air Southwest plane at Oxford Airport to fly to the island, with weekly flights departing every Saturday until September 12. Currently there are only two seats left on the 50-seat aircraft operating the first service, while 81% of tickets have been sold for the first 3 flights. Tour operator CI Travel Group is already reported to be considering operating flights again next year, with an expanded timetable.
