This is the first month on month fall in AMS numbers since Feb 2023. I had hoped that upward trend would continue and we would breach 9000 this month for the first time since the pandemic.
Jan - 5230 (54.5 per flight) Feb - 4915 (56.5 per flight) March - 6466 (63.4 per flight) April - 6880 (60.4 per flight) May - 7311 (57.6 per flight) June - 7685 (58.2 per flight) July - 7963 (51.7 per flight) August - 8109 (50.7 per flight) September - 8700 (58.0 per flight) October - 8864 (55.4 per flight) November - 8078 (51.5 per flight)
Load factors are fairly consistently between 50 and 60 per flight, so KLM seem to be fairly good at maintaining that through the year by adjusting the schedules and switching between E175s and E190s at seemingly random days/times.
Aberdeen seems to be a shadow of its former self, It can't be that profitable for Eastern to have a J41 parked up until the afternoon some days a week. Id love to see them try something new using that down time to replace Esjberg - I can think of a few routes that I would do well year round from Humberside - Something like Dublin/Belfast a couple of days a week, I can't imagine it would be too hard to sell enough seats out of 29 on a route like that to cover costs? or am I being too optimistic?
