I see in the Routes "Shop" that MME is a part of, DSA want an operator for an ABZ route. Has that been an aspiration of DSA's for some time, or is this a more recent move? And is this a danger to the MME route to ABZ. And who - BE, T3 or a.n.other?

The DSA page on the route shop has been up a few months (good advertising that - MAG please take note)
I guess ABZ will have been an aspiration ever since DSA opened. T3 arent going to be interested with HUY at the other end of the M180 and Flybe's Dash 8's are probably too big for double daily, and I think their LBA-ABZ service deals with any less price sensitive traffic. And I cant think anyone else would be interested in DSA-ABZ
I don't think MME has anything to be worried about - As far as Aberdeen service goes it should be a very different distinct market
I think ABZ is one route DSA could be left waiting a while for, though if you are buying a space on a site like the route shop to advertise 'more likely to happen' wanted routes, you might as well advertise Aberdeen at the same time, just in case someone is interested

Yes, good advertising to your competitors... Im sure with MAG's links to airlines worldwide an add in the routeshop would be pointless and counter productive.
I think Peel are always after what MAG's got, same with EMA, MAN and HUY. Whether there would be a suitable market or not is certainly debatable. Unless T3 go off to DSA in a huff and take their base admin base with them and their free landings provided by MAG then i think ABZ is one that will certainly hang around at HUY. The oil and gas and helicopters are part of our region not South Yorkshires.

I cannot see any on there which have such close competitors as the ones do in th UK. Many of the serious ones are advertising for flights which perhaps their competitors have no chance or will of gaining. Note that most of the UK's popular and successful airports are not listed on there and then consider why.
