DSA again managed less than 40,000 passengers. At 35,891 , which is down 28.2% on 09, the rolling annual total is now 805,217. This means the new services will need to produce almost 600,000 additional passengers to meet the Airports recent predictions!

Assuming EZY remain at one based aircraft during the full year, and flights remain 3xdaily then the most seats on offer would be around the 340,000 mark..
The 340,000 figure would require all flights to be full for 365 days. I would suggest that 300,000 max will be most likely, of course there is the chance that there could be less daily flights during the winter season unless they announce new routes or plan to continue their current sumer schedule.
Using the same working, assuming the DUB flight remains at once daily, the maximum seats in a 365 day period would be around 56,000. The route could perhaps be expected to work at a lower load factor than EZY so 30,000 pax for the year would not likely be unreasonable.
This of course doesnt take into account reduced operations during the christmas period etc.

A contact of mine who flies for Easyjet is still surprised that they are intending basing one aircraft at DSA. He has pointed out the company has been closing down smaller bases and concentrating at fewer, but larger, bases. I suppose DSA is an experiment or perhaps it's a gesture, bearing in mind the success of operations out of LPL. Whatever, it will be interesting to see how it pans out!

It appears to be a goodwill gesture due to continued expansion at MAN. It has been said in the past that their LPL contract is fairly restrictive with regards to expansion at Manchester...
It also seems that they want to retain some presence this side of the pennines, i cannot see the place ever becoming a permanent base though, there just doesnt seem to be the scope there without stepping on Thomsons shoes too much.
