Just to share that it looks as though Thomson will be operating throughout winter 2011/12 as can be seen on there website by attempting to book Barbados and then clicking show all other routes from Doncaster Sheffield revealing all, just can't book them yet as booking only applies to long haul.
Routes all winter:
Gran Canaria - Sat Lanzarote - Sun Tenerife - Tue/Fri Paphos - Wed Sharm el Sheikh - Mon/Thu Alicante - Tue/Sat Malaga - Tue/Fri
Palma resumes in March - Fri/Sat Faro resumes in April - Sun Tunisia (Enfidha?) resumes in April - Wed
Also listed is Tunisia Djerba from April so this could in fact be a new route!

Good start for 2012 line up. I believe there will be a base increase.

There are also rumours of a twice weekly Orlando service resuming in 2012. Suppose it won't be too long before Summer 12 is on sale so all will be revealed soon!

Roughly thats a one aircraft based programme with a Tuesday w pattern. So looks about the same as this winter?
Encouraging about Djerba though
As for Summer 2012 - probably April or May next year next year before it goes on sale

Unfortunately there are some sad individuals out there, whose sole intentions are to bring the Airport to it's knees. Similarly a lot of these individuals are the same ones gloating about the demise of EGCN.
These doom mongers have very little in their lives to occupy themselves.
It's imperative that we support DSA and promote any new positive announcements that it makes, no matter how small they maybe.
Revelling in scaremongering and negativity is all to common place on these forums and is nothing short of pathetic.

But being completely fair, the same happened the other way a few years ago when DSA had visions of becoming the heathrow of the north. There were plenty of people saying HUY should just close, its just a shed and of no use to anyone. Any good news HUY mustered was laughed at by some on the DSA forums, and bad news for HUY greeted with joy. So all being equal, you can't blame anyone who has sour grapes.

DSA never had visions of being the Heathrow of the North, far from it. However there were a few people on the forum over at EGCN who wanted to run before they could walk, so if you are referring to that then I take your point. But to generalise is a bit "broad brush". Sour grapes is one thing but wholehearted scaremongering bordering on espionage is another. If DSA's days as we know it are numbered, although I sincerely hope they are not and the onset of new routes clearly states otherwise. Then I would urge people involved in any conspiracy plots to get hold of a good attorney.

Why are you bothering coming on these forums then?
Errr... what?
There has always been sniping both ways, but there is and always has been an argument about whether or not DSA should have actually been built. I have not bothered to comment on the TOM rumour as i dont believe they will pull out of DSA, that is the result of one poster under different usernames on different forums just trolling.
I would like to suggest though, that anyone who cannot take alternative opinions (something not allowed on EGCN)*, then do not bother coming onto these forums, particularly if you believe they are sad or pathetic.
*Not arguing against the censorship on EGCN, obviously admin had their reasons and thats fair enough, just dont expect other forums to be the same.

Can we return to the topic of this thread please, Thomson's Winter 2011/12 programme. We're just going round in circles at the moment
