A few odd bits and pieces of note from the Eastern submission to the BAA inquiry
It had briefly operated a route between Durham Tees 1 Valley and Brussels. This had manifested sufficient core traffic, but there were not sufficient additional route possibilities to justify basing an aircraft at Durham Tees Valley Airport.
On the Angers route, the marketing of the route was very much managed by and was under the control of Angers itself, and the airline had not been provided with promotional funds. There had, however, been no significant promotion for the route from Southampton Airport.
EA had never attempted to obtain slots at Heathrow. It had once tried to gain slots from Gatwick but they had not been available at times which would work for its product.
