The new brochure is showing 6 destinations, Bourgas, Ibiza, Palma and Enfida sharing with Thomson, T/C's own flights are Palma, May to June, Jul to Sept. Enfida, Aug to Sept, Antalya May to June and Jul to Oct, and finally Dalaman May to Oct. there had been worries that T/C would be expanding at DSA, but only ' same as'.

Just like HUY, I really don't know how much to trust that. It's pretty much the same as the 2011 plan back in January.
In particular I would be (pleasantly) surprised to see Thomas Cook add/restart Enfidha from all off LBA/DSA/HUY after dropping their own flights from all three this Summer
And to be honest I think this Thomas Cook expanding at DSA stuff got blown a bit out of proportion. Taking seats on an existing Bourgas flight - big deal ... not. Adding some 'basic' destinations like Antalya - great, extra flights, to be welcomed, but PMI/AYT/DLM and possibly Enfidha in the future are just that, 'basic' destinations offered by Thomas Cook from most of the airports they fly from. When Thomas Cook start chartering their own flights to places like Greece or Cyprus then maybe that will be a sign DSA could become a more significant airport for Thomas Cook

I agree AH, just because another airline puts in a couple of flights to a neighbouring airport does not mean " I can see T/C expanding bigtime now, at the expence of HUY."

Lets not forget as well that until a couple of months ago Thomas Cook were adding Enfidha at HUY, so it was far from just DSA getting new flights
Anyway lets just hope both airports can do well in the future

I take thats quoting something I said some time ago? If so I wouldn't rule it out in the long term. They clearly have little interest in offering anything more from HUY, and may just go the way TOM have gone.
As always on this subject, I hope I'm wrong.
With regards to this news though, and the confusion over certain conflicting flight times with TOM on their shared flights, I would assume the TCX brochure is not set in stone. Enfidha being in there hints at that.

TCX have dropped Antalya from DSA next year, but will be replacing it with Lanzarote. Can see where their growth will be placed now... No canaries flights from HUY for a few years.

Antalya is still bookable with Thomas Cook. They have indeed withdrawn their own aircraft from this service but instead have taken seats on the Thomson's aircraft departing on a Tuesday afternoon.

With the news that the company currently maintaining TC's fleet of 757's are opening at DSA... could that be a sign of TC's increasing interest in DSA?

Possibly, there is also an announcement due on wednesday from Monarch. It is open to speculation as to what it will be about but I guess there is an outside chance of regional expansion which could include DSA (pure speculation I must add), as there has been rumours over interest from them in the past.

To be honest, I can see TCX going the same way as TOM at HUY. They have a token presence at HUY next summer, I wouldn't be surprised if they have nothing on sale for 2013.
Hopefully FR will provide some relief here.
