While it is disappointing news, a colleague I was speaking to this morning is quite confident that Thomson are going to announce a 3rd based aircraft for 2012 (a 757) sometime this month. I'm sceptical but we'll have to see if anything comes of it!

Heard the same. Apparently more crews to be recruited too on top of the ones recently taken on, so at least the summer sun routes seem to be doing well.

would they not have to add more routes again if they do?

How many aircraft were based at DSA this summer? If three then it could just be a capacity increase on some routes.

Looks like a capacity increase for some routes then.

Perhaps also axed S12 routes may come back online?
