I'm trying to revamp the helicopters section of the Air Humberside website and would be appreciative if anyone could update me on the following:
Are Bristow still using the main passenger terminal? Who is handling them? What types of helicopter are normally used? What office and maintenance facilities do they have at HUY, if any?
Due credit will be given on the site for any information provided. Thanks

Could be wrong, and I've not been out on the tarmac for a few months but from my observations..
Not sure on that one, I know they cannot use the Heli-terminal as CHC still holds the lease. I had thought Bristow had their own facility behind their hangar?
From what I've seen it looks like they self-handle.
They operate from at least one hangar at HUY, not sure which number but the one between the Eastern Jetstream Sim hangar and Frank Morgans from memory.. Not sure on maintenance but they also have a large prefab office behind the hangar on the opposite side of the road.
Sorry for being vague I hope someone can fill in the gaps.

Bristow use hanger 5 for their S-76's storage and maint work, and the smaller hanger 6 (next F Morgans) used for parts store and overspill for H5.

Bristow's still use the terminal, usually Gate 2 which has been fitted out espescially for them. Handled by Eastern Airways rampies. Stand 1 and Southern Apron altered and repainted to accomodate them last year causing all push-back activity to be changed. He who pays the piper............

Counted 5 Helicopters last week. All lined up on the southern apron.Must have increased flights. There does seem to be more flights from CHC as well,or are my eyes deceiving me? The Humber Heliport goes from strength to strength it seems.

If of interest for last week Bristows S76/CHC AW139 flights offshore in brackets, Mon.Bristow 500= G-CEYZ (1). B508= G-KAZB (4). B509= G-CGIW (5). B523= G-CGRU (4).
Tue. B509 (4). B523 (2).
Wed. B500 (2). B508 (1). B509 (2). B523 (4).
Thurs. B508 (1) B509 (1) B523 (1)
Fri. B508 (1) B523 (1)
CHC. Mon. G-SNSA (1). Tue (3). Wed (4). Thurs (3) Fri (1). Thurs G-JEZA (1). and back to North Denes.
So actually bit of a slow end to the week for Bristows with 33 flights. Previous week mon to Fri was 53 flights.

Nice to see CHC hanging in there. It would have been a shame to see them totally gazumped by Bristows.

Bristows S76's have gone from 4 aircraft in Dec 2012 to only 2 at the present time, has Bond operations at HUY already made that much difference or is it just a quiet time for offshore movements ?, will have to wait and see if Bristows aircraft/movements increase again over the next few months.

The CAA passenger figures might give some indication when they are released for January. If they haven't gone up significantly then maybe Bond have taken on Bristow work rather than it being new work (though weather cancellations will also have an impact)
