An interesting discussion is ongoing on another forum about the future of WW and its impact on EMA. Some are suggesting that Jet2 have big plans for the place, and may even take over bmibaby (though there is loads of speculation circulating, most will be rubbish). Someone has interestingly posted about a rumoured Easyjet return, with management 'bigwigs' having visited EMA recently (though would put paid to easyjet returning to DSA I suspect). Will certainly be interesting to see what pans out over the next few months, particularly as WW are one of the largest operators at EMA!

Flybe are their smaller aircraft are probably best suited to these routes - plus at CDG they can feed Air France. I guess they aren't expecting bmi baby to have a long term future though

Trying to stop Easyjet getting in I guess (and credit to MAG who seem to doing a very good job at damage control at EMA)

At least it seems the loss of bmibaby will be mitigated somewhat. A shame for the staff though.

Not a surprise to see Jet 2 expanding further at EMA - and hopefully an opportunity for at least some of the bmi baby staff to find new employment
It could be the head office staff that are worst hit though. BE/LS/MON etc will need extra crew - they are unlikely to need extra office staff though
