Flybe are to start EMA-Chambery this winter. Their press release highlights that their choice of operating day - Saturday - is important. Jet 2 are also flying EMA-Chambery this winter, on a Sunday. The difference in operating days does offer passengers a choice though.

Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline has announced it will operate a sixth new route from East Midlands Airport, namely a weekly winter ski service to Chambery available for travel from December 15th through to March 30th, 2013 with a schedule timed perfectly for the Saturday ‘changeover days’ required by most of the region’s accommodation establishments. Flybe now offers a total choice of up to 166 flights a week from East Midlands airport to seven destinations namely Amsterdam, Belfast City, Chambery, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Jersey, Paris Charles de Gaulle demonstrating its intention to build a strong network from the airport.
