From checking a few dates on the KLM timetable, it seems the Saturday teatime flight is dropped for the Summer timetable. Currently showing as returning in November
I doubt it will have a major impact on passenger numbers, and hopefully load factors will increase as a result, but still disappointing. AMS saw declines in 2012 that need reversing

Are other airports seeing similar drops? I seem to remember they used to reduce frequency at weekends when AirUK used to run the service. It's not exactly a great show of confidence when NWI are seeing the return of 4 daily flights.
Will be using the service a few times this yet, first time will be in a couple of weeks. On Radio Humberside yesterday the marketing manager from HUY was saying how important these flights are, and how most of the passengers come from the north bank to use KLM...

MME has the same drop, CWL doesn't have a Saturday nightstopper. Both usually post lower passenger figures to AMS than HUY

It was part of an overall travel section on his show. Presenter suggested that 10 night holidays and more flexibility should be explored, and the response was that sustainability was key, so we cant expect any large growth on the leisure front..

I see on another forum that rumours are circulating that DSA might become another KLM served airport?

It's in reference to this quote in an article.. www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-21275784Airports not directly served by KLM; DSA, SOU, BOH, SEN, NQY, EXT, LGW, LTN, STN, LCY, EMA, LPL, INV, LDY, BHD, and BFS. So I guess they are in with a shot along with all the others listed.

I don't think they will set up at DSA whilst HUY operates.
They are quite close to each other and are likely to draw from similar catchment areas. KLM passengers from DSA will dilute the HUY market which KLM would not want whilst the yields are good.

I don't believe there has been a KLM1497 tea time flight the last 3 Saturdays, I've not heard or seen one one.

It got dropped when the clocks change - traditional start of the Summer season for the airline industry. Still showing as returning in November, but that could be a default schedule
