HAT Facebook page is advertising a holiday departing Monday 18th August 2014 to Benidorm with flights from Humberside. Error or premature release?? It's been on their page all day without correction.

Has now been corrected, flights actually from Manchester!
I was hoping we would have heard something by now from JetXtra/HAT, "this week" is almost over.

On the Flybe website, The timetable (but not booking system yet), shows Jersey operating on 4th and 10th May for Summer 14, I assume that the timetable from mid/late May has yet to be loaded, but it does look promising that these flights will continue in 2014 with Flybe.

Humberside JetXtra loaded for Summer 14, Palma & Alicante to continue but on Saturdays. Also appear to be a UK based aircraft. Palma will now only operate July/August. Saturdays during July/August, we appear to have 2 aircraft operating at once, so I wonder who the operator will be?
Timetable:
ALICANTE
Saturday 24 May - 12 Jul HUY 1115 - ALC 1505 ALC 1555 - HUY 1750
Saturday 19th July - 30th August HUY 0800 - ALC 1145 ALC 1235 - HUY 1425
PALMA
Saturday 19th July - 30th August HUY 1115 - PLM 1445 PLM 1535 - HUY 1715

A short season for PMI - maybe another operator is in prospect for the rest of the season? Does look like a based aircraft though - flight times and departure day excellent.

Looks like they're planning to use two different aircraft? So doubt it will be a based aircraft, unless in the extreme it is part of a bigger operation.
I thought PMI was performing better than ALC loads wise? So seems strange to be operating for a short season only.

Does the 50 minute turn-round time indicate a larger aircraft than a Boeing 717?

Does the 50 minute turn-round time indicate a larger aircraft than a Boeing 717? I am not sure on aircraft type, I would guess playing it safe with something similar sized (B717, A318, E195 etc) considering the passenger figures published so far. The pattern in itself is unusual. 8am is quite a late start for a based plane, which makes me think it will position in from somewhere in the morning. I am sure there are plenty of potential operators who could charter this flight, but the second plane needed in July/August for Palma makes me think it is either an airline like small planet that specialise in ad-hoc charter work, or a scheduled airline, with spare aircraft at weekends when there are fewer business flights. I cannot think of any low cost type airlines that would have 2 planes free to lease out in the peak summer season. The 50 minute turn around time in itself is unusual, as I cannot think of any airline using 50 mins? I really don't think this is the only flights they will offer next year - I would expect Palma to operate weekly May-September, with these being 'Extra' flights over the school holidays - although we don't know the exact Palma figures as they are not split between the Thomas Cook flights, and JetXtra. I believe 90% Thomas Cook capacity has been assumed, but if this was nearer 100%, it would leave JetXtra with similar, or even lower loads than Alicante.

Makes me think they could be hoping to use BA Cityflyer due to their extra availability at weekend's.

Perhaps - I did wonder about BA or Flybe using an E190 type. What is unusual is Humberside Airport travel have not had any mention of these flights yet, and the only thing from the airport is a tweet, whereas last time they were marketing heavily from the day the flights were released.

JetXtra seem to be using a different pricing model when compared to Low-Cost. For instance they are selling a one-week return to Palma on 27th August for £125 compared with the Low-Cost price of £212. As a result, they seem to have sold out their allocation of seats on the final return from Alicante on 24th September. Presumably HAT sell their seats at another different price. Could it be that JetXtra are going to operate independently next year? This could explain why they are playing it safe with a very short Palma season. No mention of Faro, Malaga and Minorca so far. HAT had a very successful experiment using Flybe to Malaga a few years ago and Flybe also operate from Faro. Is it possible that HAT will try these routes on their own or in association with Flybe?
