It would be good if MAG now tried to undo the harm they have done to HAP with the blight inflicted on it by being in limbo. They could start by having a sales team at HAP instead of EMA, and have HAP promoted first, instead of EMA first, second, third, and HAP a long way last, if at all.

If they are keeping it long term, it would make sense to plough some cash into it to get it back on course. They seem to have done little to keep the charter routes lost recently.
I too wonder what these 'proposed developments' could be. Maybe its just the usual spin.

One Flybe a week in the summer to Jersey can't have tipped the scales. Have Flybe more routes in the pipeline?

Would they enter unknown territory in this economic uncertainty? I know they are still going strong but not so sure it would be wise to expand now?

I think a rumoured frontrunner and prefered bidder may have had to pull the offer. Certainly not a good time to go buying up airports.
Lets hope there is the will by MAG too, not just a reason to sit on it till things get better...
Remember they have been getting advice from PWC who will have heavily influenced their decision.

Understand MAG cannot now sell Humberside Airport for seven years - some sort of stipulation by the other part owner - North Lincs Council.

I wonder why that is? Sounds to me like the Sheffield Council agreement with Peel when they took over SZD. In a round-a-bout sort of way.
Hopefuly this might kick them into gear abit.

A poster on Pprune claims to have 'overheard' a conversation in which the minority shareholder of DTV has stipulated an agreement in which Peel must invest X amount of money over seven years and that if it proves unprofitable then they can buy the remaining shares and do what they like.
I wonder and worry that it sounds quite similar to what HUYtiger posted about HUY and North Lincs agreement...
