Rather late with the news, Look North reported the appointment of PriceWaterhouseCoopers to advise on the airport sale. They also said bids will start to come in next month and that 'staff welfare' and 'future growth' were important

My only worry now is if MAG are looking what is best for them in a competition point of view. It is quite exciting stuff realy but suppose its luck of the draw as to who would have the right idea for the airport.

Heard a whisper that Eddie Stobart was very interested as his attempt to buy Carslisle was blocked.

Stobarts made comments about Southend yesterday, but not HUY. Though there could be a confidentiality agreement stopping HUY going public

yep - same whisper said he was interested in both airports with the view to buying one of them. If he was making comments about Southend yesterday I would hazard a guess that he was unsuccessful in acquiring HUY.
