Update on the bidding process

Manchester Airports Group is one of two confirmed bidders for Gatwick Airport after yesterday’s deadline for offers.

However, it is not yet clear whether an expected bid from Lysander Gatwick Investment, a consortium led by Citi Infrastructure Investors, is going to materialise.

The two bids are said to be between £1.3bn and £1.5bn compared with the £1.8bn to £2bn expected by Gatwick’s Spanish owner Ferrovial when it began the sale process last September.
