Lufthansa E190 from FRA was an unusual LCY diversion this morning. Not a weather issue.

Looks like a good morning on the diversion front.

I believe there were 14 LCY airline diversions, including the first Luxair that I can recall, plus a Spanish Citation arrived among them which may have been LCY-bound. SEN Operations certainly seem to have shown more willingness to accept large numbers of diversions this morning than has appeared to be the case over recent months, with Stands 13 and 14 being used for a Flybe and BA aircraft. The reason for this influx was a hole which appeared overnight on LCY's runway apparently.

I see the LCY Mahon and Ibiza are due to divert in to Southend today due usual LCY closure. Also a Cityjet Florence flight going to be going elsewhere...

No less than four BA LCY inbounds diverted to SEN this lunchtime (3 x ERJ-170 & 1 x 190), from MAH, VCE, NCE and IBZ. They all missed the LCY curfew.

Rather than positioning the three ERJ-170s back to LCY this lunchtime the pax for AMS, NCE and FRA are being bussed to SEN from LCY. That's a first for BA I think. The ERJ-190 positioned empty to GLA this morning.

5 diverted flights tonight. 4 BACF and 1 Flybe. Not sure what's going on a LCY to cause this.

Apparently there is an ATC shortage with 'Thames Radar' at NATS Swanwick affecting the amount of traffic that can be safely accepted routeing into LCY, and the knock-on delays. There have been some delays to some inbound flights to SEN caused by this (but no cancellations/diversions).

SEN received 11 diversions from LCY this morning due to low cloud.
These comprised 4 x BACF (EMB170 & 190, D328 & S2000), 5 x Flybe Q400, 1 x Luxair Q400 and 1 x Cityjet F50.
