Just seen a post on pprune mentioning a rumour that the Chester Harwarden base will close and the current contract for flights to Filton with Airbus will be operated by another airline

Yes - effective end of Jun bmi regional wil be operating the Chester-filton-toulouse flight with ERJs, replacing T3 and WDL (146).

A new line of work there for bmi
I guess Eastern will be disappointed to loose this kind of work in the current environment, as I imagine it provides a stable fixed income

All the more reason for them to hang onto the oil run to Scatsta once the interim contract runs out & the permanent one comes up for grabs.

Eastern dont have the aircraft or crew available - all busy doing other things - hence not a Saab taking over and bmir getting the contract
