In what in the current environment is a brave move, Eastern look to be starting Liverpool to ABZ and SOU flights. Has been posted on pprune and is in Eastern's booking engine. Flight times are for Thursday 1st October (date I picked at random)
Liverpool to Aberdeen Select Depart Arrive Flight No 10:40 11:50 T3 4072 16:30 17:50 T3 4076 19:20 20:40 T3 4078 Aberdeen to Liverpool Select Depart Arrive Flight No 06:40 07:50 T3 4071 14:30 15:50 T3 4075 18:20 19:40 T3 4077
Liverpool to Southampton Select Depart Arrive Flight No 08:10 09:00 T3 4071 16:20 17:20 T3 4075 20:10 21:10 T3 4077 Southampton to Liverpool Select Depart Arrive Flight No 09:30 10:20 T3 4072 15:00 16:00 T3 4076 17:50 18:50 T3 4078
First flight routes ABZ-LPL-SOU-LPL-ABZ. 2nd flights are ABZ-LPL-ABZ and SOU-LPL-SOU while the last flight is ABZ-LPL-SOU and SOU-LPL-ABZ
LPL-ABZ has a long history of failure, can Eastern be the ones to make it work?

LOL! I posted on ABZ thread & you beat me by a minute Humberside!! I also guess ABZ-NCL & NCL-SOU are to be split into separate services, or will T3 do ABZ-NCL- - & what will/could " " be???

Somehow the aircraft and crew has to get to SOU to operate the last SOU-LPL-ABZ flight, and similarly the last ABZ-LPL-SOU flight has to return to ABZ. So could still be some ABZ-NCL-SOU flights to facilitate that
Though with a 2110 arrival into SOU, it's a bit late for another flight after that. Could there be a SOU base or night stopper?

Not as complicated as I first posted. Having looked a bir more closely all three flights are ABZ-LPL-SOU
0640 ABZ-LPL 0750 (T34071) 0810 LPL-SOU 0900 (T34071) 0930 SOU-LPL 1020 (T34072) 1040 LPL-ABZ 1150 (T34072)
1430 ABZ-LPL 1550 (T34075) 1620 LPL-SOU 1720 (T34075) 1750 SOU-LPL 1850 (T34078) 1920 LPL-SOU 2040 (T34078)
1500 SOU-LPL 1600 (T34076) 1630 LPL-ABZ 1750 (T34076) 1820 ABZ-LPL 1940 (T34077) 2010 LPL-SOU 2110 (T34077)
But stil of note is the rotations operated from the SOU end, were T3 closed their base a while ago

Yes seems SOU is a base, or is to be re-established as one? I thought they had formally withdrawn after Angers was dropped.

Posts on pprune and airliners.net do indeed say the SOU base shall be reopened

With ABZ-SOU passengers being rerouted via LPL (and also LBA), Eastern have reduced ABZ-NCL to 4 daily. The first ABZ departure at the early afternoon service from NCL are axed

Using ABZ - LPL for the first time this week. Last minute trip down to the north west. About half the cost of a BMI Manchester alternative. Worth knowing about.
