That is pretty much in line with the ABZ figures so doesn’t seem too bad at face value. Good to see an increase on AMS but let’s face it, it’s less than 50% of what it was pre covid.

The Esbjerg average load was 10.5 passengers, which is a healthy percentage increase on the 7.6 passenger load in January.
The average Aberdeen load was 16.6 passengers compared with 15.6 in January.
The Enontekio load factor was 99.5%.
There should have been 88 Amsterdam flights in February based on the pattern of 11 rotations per week. Two flights were lost to a diversion and one was gained from an inbound LBA diversion, so the average is based on 87 flights. The average load was 56.5 compared with 54.5 in January. In passenger number terms, Humberside normally outperforms Teesside on the Amsterdam route. This is not the case at present. Teesside had 96 flights with an average load of 59.9 passengers. The Esbjerg route cannot have damaged the numbers because KLM weren't offering attractive connections to and from Billund. Has there been a fall in demand for international business travel at HUY since the covid epidemic? Are passengers using alternatives because there is not a full range of connecting flights available at HUY?

I think people will be using alternative airports for connections with the unstable schedules provided by KLM at present. I do not envisage that demand has reduced as it is largely supported by shipping and offshore for positioning crews around the globe. It leads me to believe that Humberside may have agreed a reduced schedule whilst they sort out their issues with ATC. I’m hoping that with the loss of DSA, the local authorities start asking questions of this, as at face value it doesn’t appear that HUY owners are all that interested in Commercial passenger flights at the moment.

Anyone know if HUY have an Airport Consultative Committee? Are they mandatory and if it does have one how to access the minutes.

Not aware of anything official although I think there are meetings with Kirmington parish council. There did used to be quite a lot of documented minutes published by North Lincolnshire Council but these seem to have tailed off, which is strange given they maintain equity share in the airport. Perhaps someone on here knows more.

Yes, maybe someone has more knowledge.

The following airports are served solely by KLM on the Amsterdam route. Passengers in February 2023 are compared with February 2020, showing the percentage relationship with the pre-covid level.
Belfast City 95% 3,141/3,313 Cardiff 62% 7,058/11,449 Humberside 48% 4,915/10,332 Inverness 77% 2,866/3700 Norwich 66% 7,198/10,923 Teesside 64% 5,753/8,938
Humberside is bringing up the rear and although monthly flight numbers are rising the recovery is still lagging other airports. If May 2023 was a normal month HUY would have 20 arrivals per week making 89 in the month. Humberside has 66 arrivals planned for May. By comparison, Teesside has 75.
