Well it might be small but it’s heading in the right direction. Judging by the success of their Tuesday flights in terms of load factors at least, then I expect the Saturday one to perform even better plus the added benefit of flexible stay options outside of 7 or 14 nights. It’s a long way off though, anything could happen between now and then, but it’s positive that the airport appear to be working with them to some extent. I do wonder though as to whether this is a result of airport marketing and dialogue with TUI or whether TUI have been reactive to strength of demand. Proves that if the right companies put the right routes on they will sell.

A joint press release may give a clue - if there is one that is.

Maybe we’re getting ahead of ourselves and they are perhaps moving capacity around which could mean we lose the Tuesday for the Saturday, or indeed the Saturday ends up somewhere else entirely.

Fantastic news, although it’s only 1 flight per week it’s a 33% increase in weekly sun flights, and I’m sure will sell well. Flight times are almost identical to Tuesday, I think 5 minutes difference and fit in ttgap between the mid morning klm and afternoon Aberdeen from an airport staffing perspective.
Hopefully more follows, just a shame it’s so far into the future- who knows where things might be with DSA by then, certainly we don’t want it transferred back there if it reopens

I think what happens at DSA is absolutely key. TUI did return way before DSA closure was announced, but in order for the airport to have any confidence in taking risks and increasing staffing levels to permit longer operating hours then it would need that barrier to remain closed. Appears CDC are confident they’ll reach an agreement with Peel imminently, it’s just a case of the operators following through with their expressions of interest and actually committing. Have no doubt that TUI would return if it does reopen.

Maybe the delay in advertising holidays on the Saturday PMI flight is because hotel contracts are still being arranged for the new arrival/departure dates.Flight only is on sale for the full season but very few holiday packages have appeared so far on TUI site. Onthebeach seem to have some on offer but Thomas Cook limited to Tuesday 2025 packages for which I guess they will have straight-forward roll-over agreements.

Fair point, would think once finalised it would be fairly big news to announce.. So far only a couple of independent travel agents appear to have twigged. I think there is scope for more in 2025 depending on what happens with DSA.

Not sure if it’s been mentioned anywhere on here but there was a Holiday Fair at Humberside on Sunday 7th. I’ve since noticed elsewhere that the TUI Trade Relations Manager for the Midlands was at the event and has expressed how incredibly popular it was, with people queueing up all day to discuss with her the options available. She seems surprised. This will no doubt be fed back to her seniors.
